Hitch

A personal favourite, Hitch stars Will Smith as a suave love doctor who helps people in New York find love. While he works on helping one client, he becomes embroiled in his own love story, with the two intertwining to harm the relationships that are forming.
This romcom plays on both aspects brilliantly, with the chemistry all around working brilliantly. Eva Mendes, Smith’s love interest, is the perfect match to counteract Hitch and as such, the attachment that forms is endearing.
A great option for a light-hearted yet still loving watch.
The Proposal
Sandra Bullock plays a high-powered editor facing deportation who forces her assistant (Ryan Reynolds) into a fake engagement.
This hilarious rom-com offers a unique perspective on love, showing how unexpected connections can blossom from the most unlikely situations. The film's fast pace and witty dialogue keep things engaging, making it a fun and lighthearted choice for Valentine's Day.
Marriage Story
Going with a hard-hitter here but a must-watch, Marriage Story stars Scarlett Johansen and Adam Driver as a husband and wife going through a gruelling divorce.
The story feels raw and genuine, as if you were watching real-life events. It can be a hard watch because of this, displaying the difficulties of love, but it also shows the value of communication and understanding.
