What is Disney+?
Disney’s very own on-demand, subscription based streaming service which launched here in the UK on 24th March 2020.
What can I watch on Disney+?
Subscribers will find over 500 films available. Enjoy age old classics and newer hits like The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Moana and Toy Story as well as every single exciting entry in the Marvel and Star Wars franchises.
There’s more than 350 TV series to choose from including every episode of The Simpsons and some great National Geographic documentaries exploring the natural world.
Disney+ also has its own range of original content with current highlights being the acclaimed Stars Wars series The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and an adorable live-action Lady and the Tramp remake.
How can I watch Disney+?
Disney+ content is available to stream through either its dedicated app or a web browser. Follow the onscreen instructions to set-up your account and then login with your chosen email and password.
What devices is Disney+ available on?
The Disney+ app is available on a huge ranges of devices including:
- iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch with iOS 11.0 and later
- Any Android phone or tablet running OS 5.0 Lollipop or later
- Playstation 4
- Xbox One
- Chromebook
- Roku
- Apple TV (3rd and 4th generation)
- Android enabled smart TVs and set top boxes like the NVIDIA Shield.

How much is Disney+?
Customers can choose between paying £5.99 a month or £59.99 upfront for the entire year.
Those who pay monthly can cancel and resubscribe to Disney+ at any time. Perfect for keeping the kids entertained during the school holidays or if there’s only one specific thing you’d like to watch.
How many people can watch Disney+ at once?
You can watch Disney+ on up to four different devices at the same time.
Up to 7 profiles can be created on the same account so everyone can have their own.
Can I get a free trial of Disney+?
You can sign up for a free 7-day trial of Disney+ via the app or by heading to their website. Remember to cancel before the 7 days is up to avoid being charged £5.99 for the next month!
Can I get Disney+ on Sky?
Sky Q customers can access the Disney+ app on their set top box. Both new and existing customers can choose to either keep Disney+ as a separate subscription or incorporate it into your Sky bill.
Those who do the latter will see recommendations on what to watch from both Sky and Disney+ side-by-side on your Sky Q homepage.
You can’t currently enjoy any of Disney+’s 4K content on your Sky Q box but Sky have stated that the feature is coming soon.
Can I get Disney+ on NOW TV?
Disney+ is available on all NOW TV boxes and streaming sticks. If you can’t find it under the My Apps section, you’ll need to download it for free from the app store.
Please note that Disney+ isn’t included with any of the NOW TV passes.
Can I get Disney+ on Virgin Media?
You can’t currently get Disney+ on any of Virgin set top boxes.
Can I get Disney+ with BT?
BT TV customers can’t currently access the Disney+ on their YouView or BT TV set top boxes.
Can I get Disney+ with TalkTalk?
The Disney+ app currently isn’t available on TalkTalk set top boxes.
Can I download Disney+ content to watch offline?
Every single film and episode of TV on Disney+ can be downloaded to watch offline.
All you need to do is to find the title you want and then press the download icon located next to the play button. Click on that same icon on the tab at the bottom of the screen to see everything you’ve downloaded.
If you haven’t got a lot of space on your device you can compress the size of your download by sacrificing a bit of its visual quality. Head into the app settings, press download quality and select the option you want.
Can I stream Disney+ in 4K?
Disney+ has a good selection of 4K/UHD content for subscribers to enjoy. You’ll find lots of titles from Disney and Pixar (both animated and live-action) alongside all Star Wars and Marvel films
To stream in 4K, you’ll need a compatible 4K TV and a broadband speed of at least 25Mbps.
How do I cancel Disney+?
You can cancel your Disney+ subscription at any time no matter if you’re on a pay monthly or the year subscription.
To do it on your web browser, login into your account and click your profile icon. Select account then subscription > billing details and cancel subscription. To finish, you simply need to press complete cancellation.
If you’re using the Disney+ app, press your profile icon on the bottom right of the screen and the select account > billing details. You’ll then be taken to the website where you’ll need to login again and follow the above steps.
You’ll still be able to use Disney+ after you’ve cancelled up until the day your next payment was due.
