Your guide to Sky Documentaries, Sky Nature and Sky History

Sky TV customers can now enjoy three new channels at no extra cost. 

The latest major addition to Sky is three brand-new channels, Sky Documentaries, Sky History and Sky Nature, offering viewers a mix of both original and acquired factual content. 

How do I get Sky Documentaries, Sky History and Sky Nature?

The three were all automatically added to Sky TV at launch so you’ll find them amongst your normal selection of live channels.

Do I have to pay to add Sky Documentaries, Sky History and Sky Nature to my Sky TV package?

These three channels are now available to all Sky TV customers at no extra cost!

What can I watch on Sky Documentaries?

Sky Documentaries is home to a great selection of thought-provoking feature length titles and series. Enjoy some of the most talked about documentaries from premium US-only networks and streaming services like HBO, Showtime and Hulu.

Its award-winning programming takes a fascinating deep-dive into everything from sporting heroes and musical greats to controversial crimes and important political figures.

What can I watch on Sky Nature?

Sky Nature allows you to explore the wonder of the natural world from the comfort of your own sofa. Over 500 episodes of different series are available to entertain and educate you about earth and its many inhabitants, including several from the brilliant David Attenborough.

Customers with a compatible TV and a fast internet connection (at least 25Mbps is needed) will also have access to stunning 4K/UHD content from specialists Love Nature.

What can I watch on Sky History?

The History channel has been rebranded and relaunched as Sky History but fans will still be able to enjoy the same mix of intriguing factual programming, exploring some of the most important world-shaping events, and more lighthearted reality content. 

Exciting scripted series are also available including certain episodes of the acclaimed Vikings, Knightfall and Canadian spy drama X-Company

A variety of content from all three channels is available on demand via your Sky Q or Sky HD+ box for you to stream whenever you like.

Can I watch Sky Documentaries, Sky History and Sky Nature on NOW TV?

The NOW TV Entertainment pass, which costs £8.99 a month, allows you to watch all three channels live and gives you access to a good-sized library of on-demand content. 

NOW TV is available either through the app, which is free to download on a huge range of devices like smartphones, tablets and game consoles, or via its own range of streaming sticks and set-top boxes. 

Can I watch Sky Documentaries, Sky History and Sky Nature with Virgin Media?

Virgin Media customers will find that all three have been automatically added to their TV package and will appear as normal on your EPG.

Can I watch Sky Documentaries, Sky History and Sky Nature with BT?

The only way to watch with BT TV is to add the NOW TV Entertainment pass to your package. 

Can I watch Sky Documentaries, Sky History and Sky Nature with TalkTalk?

Again, the only way to watch with TalkTalk TV is the NOW TV app on your YouView box.
