Trailers galore: Teasers for highly-anticipated 2024 shows
Plenty to come in the new year…
The weekend saw several top series revealing teaser trailers for the first time, with Prime Video set for a tremendous 2024.
Fallout
After releasing the first-look images for the show just last week, the eagerly-awaited Fallout series has had its first teaser trailer released to the public.
The show, which is an adaptation of the beloved video game series of the same name, is one of the most popular new features to be coming in 2024. With fans now being given a first proper taste of what’s to come, many are even more excited.
The trailer used Nat King Cole’s ‘I Don’t Want to See Tomorrow’ to set the scene of a barren wasteland.
It featured visuals of a vault with the dwellers inside, Brotherhood of Steel members in power armour, nuclear explosions and so much more.
Fallout will premiere on Prime Video on 12th April 2024.
The Boys Season 4
Fans rejoice as a first-look trailer for The Boys season four has been released.
Another from Prime Video’s catalogue, The Boys is one of the most popular shows on the streaming site and has even been called ‘The MCU killer’ by many.
The next season will see Victoria Neuman and Homelander fighting for the Oval Office, while all the returning favourite characters are shown to be plotting the next battle against the evil leader of The Seven.
Most excitedly, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) will be coming into the series. His as-of-yet unknown role will no doubt be an important one, as he is seen speaking with disgraced Billy Butcher (Karl Urban, Thor: Ragnorak) in the trailer.
The show will build upon the events of last season and the finale of Gen V, the spinoff show which came out in 2023.
The Boys season four will premiere in 2024 on Prime Video; however, there is no official date set as of now.
House of the Dragon Season 2
Season two of House of the Dragon has also been released and with it comes the tease of the bloody and brutal war that is due to arrive in this next chapter.
The Game of Thrones prequel was a massive hit in its first season which debuted in 2022, creating a path to a legacy akin to that of its predecessor.
Season two will focus on the building and beginnings of the brutal Targaryen civil war that is yet to come and will aptly be known as The Dance of Dragons.
The main cast from season one will of course be returning, while many new characters will be added for season two, including Tom Bennett (Family Tree), Gayle Rankin (GLOW) and Simon Russell Beale (The Hollow Crown).
House of the Dragon season two will be coming to Sky Atlantic in Summer 2024. No official release date has been set yet.
Halo: The Series Season 2
After a fairly successful first season in 2022, Halo: The Series will be returning in 2024 for a second season, and it promises a fight similar to the ones known by fans of the video game series.
The short teaser speaks of the sacrifice the marines and Spartans must make to help ensure the survival of many innocent people as the incoming Covenant army promises destruction.
Quick cuts of battle scenes make up a vast majority of the trailer, with scenes of Master Chief, Cortana, the Halo and Sangheili wielding Energy Swords also adding to the excitement of what’s to come.
Season two of Halo: The Series will be coming to Paramount+ on 8th February 2024.
