First images for Amazon's I Know What You Did Last Summer
The hook-handed killer returns to terrorize a new generation of teens.
Amazon Prime has released the first images from its upcoming TV reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The eight-episode show will follow the same basic premise as the hit 1997 slasher as a group of teenagers are stalked by a sinister killer a year after they committed a fatal hit-and-run.
The first four episodes will be made available to stream from 15th October 2021 with the rest set to follow every Friday.
I Know What You Did Last Summer was created by Sara Goodman, who most recently directed streaming service Hulu’s TV adaptation of The Hardy Boys, who also wrote all of the episodes.
Madison Iseman, Bill Heck, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck and Brooke Bloom are all set to star.
Its pilot will be directed by Craig William Macneill, who is mainly known for horror films and TV series like The Boy, Channel Zero: Candle Cove and Castle Rock
Both this new series and the original film were based on the 1973 YA novel of the same name by American author Lois Duncan.
