The show follows a group of disgraced MI5 agents who have all been demoted to an administrative department, nicknamed Slough House, after making catastrophic mistakes in the field.
Led by the unpredictable Jackson Lamb, (Academy-Award winner Gary Oldman), the dysfunctional team assumes they’re doomed to a boring life of paper pushing.
They jump on the chance to investigate what they assume to be a hostage situation but soon find themselves racing against time to untangle a dangerous plot.
Olivia Cooke, Jonathan Pryce, Kristen Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Antonio Aakeel, Sam Hazeldine and Rosalind Eleazar are also set to star.
Slow Horses is adapted from the 2010 book of the same name by Mick Herron. It’s the first in a bestselling 10-part series following Oldman’s character.
It’s consists of six episodes all of which were directed by James Hawke, whose previous credits include episodes of Black Mirror and HBO’s Raised by Wolves, and written by Veep’s Will Smith.
The first two episodes of Slow Horses will be available to stream from Friday 1st April on Apple TV+. The subsequent four will then follow weekly.
