First trailer for Judd Apatow's new Netflix film
The Bubble will follow the cast and crew of cheesy action thriller Cliff Beasts 6.
Netflix has released the first trailer for Judd Apatow’s upcoming film.
While the clip is seemingly teasing an ultra-cheesy Jurassic Park knock off called Cliff Beasts 6: Battle for Everest there’s more to it than meets the eye.
The actual title of the film is The Bubble and it revolves around the actors and production crew of Cliff Beasts 6 as they attempt to finish it whilst being forced to quarantine together during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s reportedly inspired by a similar incident which occurred during the production of Jurassic World Dominion which saw all of the cast trapped in the UK together for months at a time due to COVID-19 restrictions on international travel.
Karen Gillian, Fred Armisen, Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm’s Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann and Guz Khan are all set to star.
Apatow directed and co-wrote the film along with Pam Brady who is best known for her work on long-running adult animated comedy South Park.
The Bubble is the first film collaboration between Apatow and Netflix following his quirky romantic comedy series Love which ran for three seasons between 2016 and 2018.
You can stream The Bubble on Netflix from 1st April 2022.
