England make winning start to World Cup campaign
England got their Rugby World Cup campaign off to a good start with a confident 27-10 win over Argentina.
The Red and Whites faced tough opposition in their opening game and despite going a man down from the third minute due to a yellow card-turned red, they managed to control the game and pick up the win.
George Ford was the star of the game, scoring all 27 points. He was dialled in with his kicking, scoring six penalties alongside a hat-trick of drop goals.
Their win has them second in Pool D, one point behind Japan due to their empathic 42-12 win over Chile. They sit above England in the pool because extra points are awarded to teams who score four or more tries in a match, of which Japan scored six.
Haunted Mansion coming to Disney+ in time for Halloween
Disney’s latest Haunted Mansion film adaptation will be coming to their streaming platform on 4th October.
The film was released in August this year and slightly struggled to gain as much traction as Disney probably would’ve liked up against the might of Barbenheimer.
It features a star-studded cast including Owen Wilson (Cars), LaKeith Stanfield (Get Out), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), Danny DeVito (Matilda), Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka), and many more.
While it’ll be ready for Halloween at the end of the month, many question why Haunted Mansion was released in the summer rather than in the spooky month.
Nevertheless, Disney fans can enjoy the latest edition of the company’s ride-adapted movie on the most frightful night of the year when it comes to Disney+.
Poor weather helps England to ODI win over New Zealand
England managed to pull off a surprising win over New Zealand in the second of their four-match ODI series.
Rain disrupted the game and changed up the playing conditions, and even when they got started, England were not looking good. Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and Ben Stokes were out very early, leaving with the team's score sitting at 8-3.
But they managed to rally, with Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali settling the team down before Liam Livingstone came in to save the day, posting 95 not out off 78 balls.
The finished 226/7 after 34 overs before having to hand over to New Zealand. It was a score that could’ve been matched if it weren’t for the poorer conditions.
New Zealand were unable to really get anything going, and England capitalised on this fact, bowling them all out for 147 to win by 79 runs.
The ODI series is now even at one apiece so its all to play for in the remaining two matches.

US Open champions crowned
The final tennis grand slam tournament of the year has crowned their latest men's and women's champions.
Coco Gauff overcame Aryna Sabalenka in three sets to win her first grand slam title at 19 years old, becoming the first American teenager to win the US Open since the legend Serena Williams in 1999.
On the men’s side, Novak Djokovic won his record-equalling 24th career title after beating Daniil Medvedev in straight sets.
He had to dig deep to get the victory, with the second set being exceptionally tough, but the 36-year-old was able to come through the other side as champion.
He now matches Margeret Court’s record of 24 grand slam titles, a record that has been standing for 50 years. He will have the chance to stand alone with the most titles record next season at the Australian Open.
