A previous teaser released in September suggests that season 4 will pick up straight from where season 3 left off, with money launderer Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) and his wife Wendy (Laura Linney) now in even deeper with the Navarro drug cartel.
It’s also likely that this fourth season will see further clashes between the Byrde’s and powerful local heroin producer Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery), especially now former partner Ruth (Julia Garner) has betrayed them to join her.
There’s also the fallout from Wendy’s decision to shop her unstable bipolar brother Ben (Tom Pelphrey) to the cartel for the show to explore.
Cast members Felix Solis, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner and Charlie Tahan are also set to return alongside newcomers Bruce Davidson, Veronica Falcon, Ali Stroker, Adam Rothenberg, Alfonso Herrera and Eric Ladin.
Chris Mundy will once again serve as showrunner and write the pilot episode. Although he’s directed several episodes in the past, Bateman has confirmed that he’ll be sticking to acting this time around.
A specific release date for the second half of Ozark is not yet known but it will also arrive on Netflix sometime in 2022.
You can stream seasons 1 to 3 of Ozark on Netflix now.
