Fallout series first-look images & Cyberpunk live-action project news
Latest news on two exciting video game adaptations.
With the success of series and movies such as The Last of Us and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, video game-adapted projects have become a bit of a craze right now for Hollywood.
Here are some of the latest news and details on the upcoming Fallout series and the recently confirmed Cyberpunk live-action project.
First-look images for upcoming Fallout series
Prime Video has released new first-look photos for their highly anticipated Fallout series, showing off their interpretation of Wasteland America from the beloved Bethesda games.
Fans are still eagerly awaiting the first trailer but are certainly feasting on these newly released images.
Shots of the Brotherhood of Steel, one of the factions from the game, in their power armour, a ghoul, and Lucy, played by Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), the main protagonist for the series.
The images seem to be taken from the teaser that was shown behind closed doors at this year's Gamescom.

Invited journalists were able to share their impressions with their audience, but this is now the first time that the general public is getting a first look at what’s to come in the show.
Details of what’s to come in the show have been scarce, although it has been said that it will be a brand-new story in the Fallout world, not a retelling of one of the games.
Bethesda Games Studio director and executive producer Todd Howard previously described how he wasn’t interested in turning either Fallout 3 or Fallout 4 into a movie or TV series, but when the opportunity for a new story was presented, he got on board.
Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long before we get the first official trailer for the show, with Fallout set to begin streaming on Prime Video on 12th April 2024.
Earliest date for Cyberpunk live-action project
The Cyberpunk live-action series that was announced by game developer CD Projeckt Red in October has been given a new update as to when we can expect to see the project - spoiler alert, it's not soon.
Speaking during the developer’s latest earnings call, Michał Nowakowski, the chief commercial officer, didn't give an exact date for when the project would debut but did confirm it won't be in 2024.
"We're not really discussing specifics here but one of the obvious things that we have announced, not happening next year, but going to be developed or moved in the direction next year, is the project we have announced with Anonymous Content."
Unsurprisingly with how recent the announcement was made, there aren’t many more details on the project, including whether it will be a movie or a TV series and if it will be a new story or a retelling of Cyberpunk 2077.
The developer has already tested the water once with a Cyberpunk TV series with Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, an anime which told a story set a year before the events of Cyberpunk 2077 and was received very positively by viewers and critics.
In terms of this new project, with it still very much in its infancy, we shouldn’t expect to see any substantial details coming soon.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it isn’t coming until 2025 at the earliest, so we will have to wait a while before we start hearing or seeing anything.
