Ryder Cup Friday afternoon four-ball pairings revealed
Team Europe looking to push on after a strong morning.
The Ryder Cup pairings for the Friday afternoon four-ball contest have been revealed after a clean sweep from Team Europe in the morning foursomes.
Team Europe were in fine form, coming out swinging from the off and ended up winning all four matches, something that had previously never been achieved in the Ryder Cup.
Towards the end of the first session, the board was put up to display the afternoon pairings. No team will be staying the same despite some strong partnerships in the morning. Here is the four matches coming for the four-ball contest:
Hovland and Hatton both played this morning in the foursomes while Thomas and Spieth were left out of the USA team for the first session. While this could be positive for them as they will be fully rested, Hovland and Hatton were in fine form in their first matches.
Scheffler and Koepka is a dangerous partnership. Rahm is a great Ryder Cup player but he’ll be hoping his debutant teammate Hojgaard will be able to keep up.
McIlroy and Schauffele seem to have a rivalry building in Ryder Cup competition, having been matched up twice in the 2021 competition and once again this morning. Rory has gotten the better in the matchup, but things could look different this afternoon.
