Sky to combine Netflix, Disney+ and HBO Max in major TV package shake-up
An all-in-one streaming bundle for only £24 per month.
Sky has announced a major refresh of its TV offerings, bringing together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu in one package, for the first time.
Subscribers will be able to access all five services as part of the Sky Ultimate TV pack, making it easily one of the most comprehensive entertainment bundles on the market. The package will include more than 130 channels, such as Sky Comedy, Sky Crime and Sky History, alongside a collection of streaming apps worth more than £20 per month.
And this upgrade isn’t only for new customers - existing Ultimate TV subscribers will also gain access to the new streaming apps as part of their subscription.
Here’s a breakdown of when the new apps will be added:
- Disney+ Standard with Ads will be available from March (date to be confirmed)
- HBO Max Basic with Ads will be available when the streamer launches in the UK on 26th March
- Hayu will be added from July, but a selection of top shows will be available from 26th March
Unbeatable value
The addition of major streamers Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu significantly broadens Sky’s entertainment offering. From Hayu’s reality catalogue to Disney and Marvel blockbusters, like Moana and Avengers: Endgame, and HBO’s premium dramas - including A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and The Pitt - the expanded line-up is sure to massively strengthen Sky’s appeal.
The refreshed Ultimate TV pack will be available to new customers for £24 per month from 1st April, and existing customers will see the new additions to their subscription at no extra cost.
For viewers seeking a cheaper option, Sky Essential TV will continue to be available from £15 a month, offering more than 100 channels, and Netflix - but you’ll only get access to Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu through the Ultimate TV package.
