The Bob's Burgers Movie gets release date
The Belcher family were originally set to head to the big screen last July but the film has been pushed back twice due to COVID-19.
The Bob’s Burgers Movie officially has a new release date, 20th Century Fox has announced.
The big-screen adaptation of Loren Bouchard’s hit animated series will arrive in cinemas on 27th May 2022, also known as Memorial Day weekend in the US.

Nothing is currently known about the plot of the film other than it will be a comedy musical, but Bouchard has promised that “it’ll scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had” while also making sense for “all the good people who’ve never seen the show.”
The show’s main voice cast of H. Jon Benjamin, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, Larry Murphy, John Roberts and Kristen Schaal are all set to reprise their roles as the Belcher family.
Bob’s Burgers also features a large cast of colourful supporting characters but it’s not yet clear who of these, if any, will appear.
The project was first announced back in 2017 with an original premiere date of July 17th 2020. COVID-19, lockdowns and the closure of cinema chains across the globe led to it being pushed back to April 9th 2021, before it was pulled from release schedule all together.
Bob’s Burgers first premiered in 2011 to mixed reviews but has since grown into a hugely successful and acclaimed animated sitcom. Its upcoming twelfth season doesn’t yet have a release date here in the UK on Comedy Central.
You can stream the first 10 seasons of Bob’s Burgers on Amazon Prime now.
