Titans renewed for season 3
UK fans will be able to stream the series on Netflix.
Streaming service DC Universe has renewed its live-action superhero series Titans for a third outing.
The announcement was made via a post on the show’s official Twitter account which also revealed it’ll debut sometime in the autumn of 2020.
Other than the fact it’s set to pick up straight after the previous one ends, not too much else is known about this upcoming season.
Titans serves as a grittier, darker take on DC’s Teen Titans comic book series which was also previously adapted into an acclaimed animated series by Cartoon Network.
Headed up by former Robin and police detective Dick Grayson (Brandon Thwaites), the team features demonic Rachel Roth/Raven (Teagan Croft), powerful alien Kory/Starfire (Anna Diop) and shapeshifter Gar/Beast Boy (Ryan Potter).
The show is currently nearing the end of its second run in the US and barring any unexpected deaths, all of the above cast is expected to return.
The lack of available details hasn’t stopped fans from speculating online however.
Popular theories include that Kory’s sister Blackfire (Damaris Lewis), who revealed she killed their parents to seize the throne in a recent episode, or Superman’s main nemesis Lex Luthor will be its main villain.
Only the first season of Titans is available to stream on Netflix here in the UK. It’s not yet known when season 2 or 3 will arrive.
