Festive football fixtures: Premier League action this Christmas
Fixture congestion? Nothing but a Premier League Christmas tradition!
While other European leagues are nearing their winter break, December is when the Premier League throws games at us!
Over the final month of 2025 and the first month of 2026, there will be plenty of Prem action for us all to enjoy. And don’t forget, we’re just talking Premier League here, nevermind the EFL Cup, FA Cup and continental competition games that are going on too.
It’s a whole lot of football coming our way, but while it may be grueling for the players, we sure can’t wait for another exciting and manic festive period of Premier League football!

Christmas crackers: Highlight fixtures
Amongst all these games, there are a few matches that need to be picked out as must-watch affairs.
Be it a six-pointer between two teams vying for the same spot or a simple derby match, here are our picks for the festive periods’ best games.
Chelsea vs Arsenal | Sunday 30th November
An all-London cracker during the first matchday to kick things off, it’s the league leaders taking on the world champions (still hate that).
A win for Arsenal could take them nine points clear at the top if other results go their way, a grand step that would help during this busy time of year.
Manchester City vs Chelsea | Sunday 4th January
Will it be the blues to the North or the blues down south getting bragging rights? Man City vs Chelsea often delivers and no doubt it will once again when they meet during Matchday 20.
Arsenal vs Liverpool | Thursday 8th January
It’s the potential soon-to-be champions vs failing defending champions as the Gunners look to continue their ways.
Of course, this match comes at the end of the crazy holiday period, so who knows where each side will be by this point. Regardless, this is one hell of a way to end the festive football season!
Where to watch
Many of the fixtures above will be shown live, although they won’t all be on the same channel.
Unfortunately, as standard any 3pm games on a Saturday will not be shown, and you’ll find that if there is more than one game at the same time on a Sunday on Sky Sports, only one of them will be shown. But other than that, everything will be available to watch!
As usual, TNT Sports will be showing the early kickoffs (12:30pm on Saturdays) while Sky Sports has the late ones (5:30pm & 8pm on Saturdays), as well as Super Sundays and the midweek fixtures.
